Here is Ella at Halloween — otherwise known as Nana Diane’s birthday.  Ella is making her best attempt at a scary pose, even while sleeping.  Even though she’s in the spirit of the holiday, this still didn’t convince us to give her any candy.  Just wait until next year, kiddo.

One of the first amazing feats that Ella was able to show off was rolling over from her stomach to her back — at 5 weeks old.  Katie and I started asking our parents (and other parents), “Is this normal?”  We just couldn’t believe that someone who wasn’t supposed to enter the world until about October 1st was rolling over on October 13th.
